Posted this in the Photo forum but no luck. I packed my battery charger into a box that went into storage I did order a replacement but it didn't turn up at the office down south before it closed for Christmas so wasn't forwarded on

Anyone nearby got one I can use overnight to charge my two batteries? I'm camera-less

Ummm, no.

However, Youngs Photo, near Haymarket Station, may be able to help. The guys are very friendly, and would probably help you out.

Cheers,
Iain

Actually, panic's over. I had the same thought and gave Jessop's a ring. They had a display model so had an opened box and said no bother to me popping down with the batteries and leaving them on charge over night thumbup

Just got back (didn't even know Fort Kinnaird shopping centre existed before tonight )

Borders bookstore there is a terrific place to spend a couple of absorbing hours. I've one at the end of my LA home. And when at Fort Kinnaird you can also gloat over the Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati showrooms.

Yup - and I popped into the VW showroom last time I was there. . . Phaetons! Aren't they lovely!

(LA - NO!)

Must just be me then.

Goodnight.

(Glad it all ended well for you Graham.)

Cool.

Of course going to Franky and Bennies for lots of absurdly expensive food is very much de-riguer at Kinnaird Park.

You should also go and have a look at Kenny Dunn's showroom for a peek at some nice motors...

He used to work for Porsche Centre Edinburgh ( or Glenvarigill as it is / was etc)

But he has some great stock in.

eek Hell - they're selling Phaetons next to conventional VWs? I wonder if they think it will raise the tone of the place, Iain?

Yup - Phaetons. They had two in the last time I was there. They've branded themselves a 'Luxury Car Specialist' (no giggling at the back).

Probably to give themselves a notch above the other Edinburgh VW dealers. . . still just a normal VW dealer with absurdly expensive cars though!
