how does this sound as a engine spec for 3.0 engine (summary), hoping for circa 260-270bhp

- 10.5:1 JE Pistons & Mahle Cyliners (95mm bore)
- re-szed rods, shot peened & APR bolts
- 930 cranshaft 70.4mm stoke, magnafluxed, micropolished & knife edged
- GE60 profile billet cams
- 3- angle valve seats and silocone bronze valve guides for twim plug head - in 40mm/out 38mm ports
- titanium valve spring retainers and douible valve springs
- Glyco main, big end and intet shaft bearings
- comp timing chains & ramps
- turbo oil pump (& by-pass)
- re-con rockers & shafts
- 19kg flywheel & Sacsh comp single plate clutch
- PMO 46IDA carbs (decided to bin the current injection system)
- SSI heat exh & sports exhaust

all using rally geared 915 box with M241 short shift, but not sure if I should go for Wevo?
ratios will be
1st 3.18
2nd 2.18
3rd 1.68
4th 1.33
5th 1.08

car will probably have max speed of around 125mph, but should be quick up to about 90 with this gear set.

any feedback greatly appreciated.

Bit out of touch with these things now, but from the initial spec I'd say you're maybe 3.4 litres short of the ideal capacity evil, and maybe 2 cylinders short too biglaugh

Seriously though, have you got the book 'Porsche 911 Performance Handbook' by Bruce Anderson? Before I saw the light I had a 911, and there's lots of info in that book and photos of various engines and components. 'twas my bible and engine porn book all in one. Also, Bruce Anderson, the author, used to be fairly active on some of the (US) Porsche newsgroups (particularly the Compuserve groups....hey, that dates it a bit!). He answered quite a few of my posts. Assuming he's not dead yet, track him down with the wonders of the 'net and I'd say he's your man for engine specs.

Yip Bruce Anderson book is very good, but why would I want to listen to a lovely V8 burble tank when I could be screaming my nuts off with a flat 6 driving

Cheers
