Did it yesterday.....I've done a few trackdays and wanted to do something different.....very very informative and a great way to sort out lazy/bad habits.
2-3 hours in my car with an ex-Police driving instructor(very nice fellow with a VERY cynical view of the reasons for Speed cameras, but I digress)
That was followed by a lengthy spell on the Skid-pan,in a Vectra and Sierra learning about controling front and rear wheel skids. Then a very hairy session on the braking strip to learn about Cadence braking as well as ABS and non-ABS braking techniques.Very eyeopening in more ways than one !
Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to be a better driver (I know we are all perfect but you know what I mean )thumbup

ps The new course includes a number of laps of the circuit to try what you have just learned....definitely going back for that

can be both......the Scottish Ambulance service were there learning anti-skid and skid control techniques, and I think there were 15 or 16 of them. The on-road bit is one-on-one with the instructor in your own car which is a great help
They try and get a couple of people at the same time as the instructors are not there all the time at this time of year....
very worthwhile....I hardly used my brakes in 2 hours of driving....took a bit of learning I can tell you

Guy called Malcolm was the one-to-one on-road instructor.....young lady called Sarah was the skid-pan instructor (she's a fully paid-up racing driver so don't try to show off....she's a much better driver than any of us !)

ps northo I see you are a snowboarder....try www.skinboardroom.co.uk ....fantastic range
