Evening all!
Just finished editing down my pictures (no, I've not been doing it all afternoon, I hasten to add - my afternoon was spent in front of the heater, warming up) and I thought I'd upload a small selection of my pics from today's trackday at KH. I put in some effort to diversify locations from my other shots (sly nod to Tim, this was his tip), which were mainly focussed around the hairpin. There are a few from there, though, as I think it is a good place to shoot from.
Again, I took well over 350 shots, so if you'd like to see any of your car, just contact me. Also, I can do prints if anybody would be interested. For this, contact me.
Hope you like the photos!
Iain

Hi Stuart,
The camera is fantastic - loving every minute of use! The performance continues to astound me - the speed! The quality! The colours! A big, gaping chasm of a difference from my old compact.
I'll hop over to the meet thread to have a nebb.

What camera are you using and do you have any details of it as i am looking to upgrade.

Hi John,
I've got a Nikon D50, and today I was using the Nikkor 55-200 mm lens. It has just over 6MP, and a mind-numbing variety of modes and features. I paid around £500 for the twin-lens kit, but I'm sure you could get it cheaper now. In fact, in the classifieds on here, there are some D70s for less than I bought my D50. . . it hurts to think about it. . .
But the camera is fantastic, and if you are looking to upgrade I'd whole-heartedly recommend the D50.

These are from a D70. You really have to try both cameras, I don't like the feel of the Canon, but as always get the best you can afford. I do think the D70 underexposes quite badly though, not so bad once you learn it but can be quite frustrating at first.

Well, that's the tvrolet christened First time it's completed laps of anything after the build. Pussy-footing around, but a brief check when I got home suggests nothing's broken, unscrewed, fallen off etc. Which is nice.
Just have to sort the handling before the next time as its waaaaay too twitchy for me as it is.

It was great to see the car after reading so much about it. Have to say i think I was glad of a roof yesterday though.

they're all good, but i like the two at the hairpin when actually cornering and the camera angle is from infront, and one from the rear looking at the drivers side, also one toasting up the straight from side on shows the colours well
I ment what car lol
checked your profile I'll resize more of them and send you the zip folder.

That IS the Subaru Impreza Drivers Club trackday isn't it. There seems to be an awfull lot of non scoobies there, is this normal, is it not a scoobie only kinda day?
Great pics of all the cars!
Great pics of all the cars!
I haven't been to a SIDC day for a while but they are very well run and many people who don't own Subarus are members of SIDC, they typically get a good mix of cars and Elises often equal or outnumber the Scoobies.
So no they are not Scooby only days.
