Need to store my 911 over winter in Aberdeen
Discussion
Hi Folks, I havent posted on this part of the forum before, just once or twice on the Porsche section, but thought I would give it a try as Ive noticed there is a fair presence of Aberdeen based folks posting now and again.
As the title suggests I am trying to line up some kind of lockup / garage / storage for my 993 over our chilly winter months in Aberdeen, and just wondered on off chance if anyone had any ideas.
Ideal would be somewhere in a fairly good part of town where I could 'forget' about the car, and maybe take it out once every 2 or 3 weeks for a spin.
Maybe a long shot, but thanks alot, Dave

Have you considered trying one of those estate agenty type places
Granted I dont know aberdeen at all really but I was surprised to find some council lock ups in Glasgow were actually in decent area's and cost buttons (£17/wk springs to mind).
Outside that, small industrial units are usually quite cheap (again, in Glasgow but I'd imagine much the same would apply in Aberdeen). I found one in a secured compound with secuirty guard and cameras and access barrier security that would easily fit 2 cars length ways for £100/month.

Dave,
Make sure you leave the handbrake OFF, or you might have a problem getting the car to move again !!
Also if you leave it for months I think it's recommneded to lower the tyre presures.
If you don't have power for a battery charger I'd either leave it disconected, or maybe check it starts ok every week.
Check antifreeze in the washer bottle etc.
