I must be in the running if there are. Currently in Babo, which if anyone can find is in the Papua province in Indonesia (Bintuni Bay area). Basically, it's a runway cut out in the middle of the jungle that was previously used in WWII. At least an hours flight from anywhere that could reasonably be classed as civilisation

This maybe a stuipid question but what are you doing in a clearing the the jungle. If you're in the jungle why are you surfing on the net, (are there not better jungle type things to be doing? (like shaving with a machety))

Can you send us some piccy's they don't have to be good photos. just to prove that you are where you say you are?

Good effort John.

I was quite proud of this. OK, it was in Aberdeen but in slightly bizarre circumstances.

Cheers,

There's these photos I took when passing a village yesterday afternoon:

and there's this picture of me today in the training room (could be any portcabin anywhere in the world really!)

Did I also mention that the site is dry (ie no beer!), and they serve breakfast between 4:45am and 6:30am. Nothing like an early start to set you up for the day.

I'm out doing some set-up/training for a personnel tracking/logistics system out here.

Edit: Found a pic of where I am on google maps:

You can just about make out the runway in the picture. Try zooming out and moving about to find the nearest roads, cities etc
