I grew up near Stranraer - about 13 miles south, in Portlogan.

Hi.
About time we got a local group going.
I'm in Dumfries itself although I work in Carlisle every day.
Let me know if a Dumfriesshire drive out or pub night is what you fancy doing, and we'll get it sorted out.
Cheers,

Andrew

If all goes to plan, think we're moving to South Ayrshire, does that count? Pretty close, anyway. In Ayr for a few days...

Damn D&G scamera vans - one got me yesterday on the way back from Cairnryan.
If you'd have said you were in the area before I passed could have arranged a new years eve eve beer

Dumfries & Galloway / Ayshire obviosly are very close...

Lets get a drive day / night sorted for one Sunday soon.

IT - You're right those vans are terrible. We should start some sort of vigilante group where we sabotage the van while it is parked...

Or something...

Well, without seeming to come across as being too forward, I reckon a meet in Moffat, and a drive up the A701 "Devil's Beeftub" road to Edinburgh, superb!

A quick bit at Kinnair park Edinburgh Franky & Benny's diner...

And a drive back down the A702 Biggar road would suit us all, as it's as near for Ayshire people as Dumfriesshire...

Alternative routes gladly considered..

Get writing!

Aint been back to the old thread for a while. Cant believe its still going, looks like good stuff.
Meet sounds good but i cant drive so i would just be there for the crack!
Drybeer mentioned Dumfries, does Langholm ring a bell?
And yes the A75 is terrible, we have to use it now and again and its so boring
