Have a question about road policing in Lothians?
Discussion
The BBC News says said:
A Lothian and Borders Police officer is to answer questions from the public about road policing online.
The event will take place from 1830 BST until 1930 BST on Wednesday.
Superintendent Phil O'Kane said the web chat was an exciting and inclusive way of letting the public raise issues of concern or interest to them.
Questions can be submitted up to 24 hours before the chat opens. No registration is required to view the site, only to ask questions.
Real time
Mr O'Kane said: "With the expansion of technology and the web it seems only sensible to embrace the advances of the 21st Century and offer the community the chance to talk about road policing issues to me online, in real time.
"With computers in our homes, schools, public buildings and the workplace, the web is a ready made arena in which to ask questions that require answers.
"We recognise that many people, of all ages and across the social spectrum, have the right to ask questions about the issues that affect them as a community and what we, as the police, are doing to deal with their concerns."
People with complex questions are advised to submit it as early as possible to allow plenty of time for a reply to be produced.
