Going up to Nairn in a couple of weeks for a wedding, are there any particular parts of the drive up I should be extra careful with my speed or the roads in general?

If your not in a mad rush I would go Glencoe, FortWiliam, FortAugustus and then up the B852 on right hand side of loch Ness it's much quieter than the A82.
Not done it for a while, I do remember haveing a good time.

The Wedding at Nairn is it at the Newton Hotel on Sat 13th?? if yes I will be there not knowing a soul as it's a friend of the wife's from work.

I was planning on just going up the A9 on the way there and possible coming back down passed Loch Ness and through Fort William, if I do go that way i'll try the B852. Think I'll wait and see how im feeling on the sunday morning though!

Not the same wedding this ones on the 20th at the Altonburn Hotel.

Ian, just spotted you had a GTti, I had a white one as my first car. Great fun, until the lift off oversteer got me!

Mine was white as well, bought it new back in 89, ran it for two and a half years and 37,000 miles,...faultless.
I had some good times with it, I remember once on the M90 heading home from Knockhill, and got an Alfa sprint on my tale I eventualy shook him off with 125 on the clock, and there was still more to come.

It's one of the few cars I've owned that never got max'd out.

Sounded almost as good as my quattro.
