anyone know there way around a tvr v8?

Stevo, try posting on the TVR General Gassing forum/Chimaera Forum.
There are plenty of Chims around Central/Glasgow area, and a few recent threads have been about RV8 servicing.
Also try the TVRCC Scotland Yahoo groups - lot of info there.

Drop a line to the moderator for that forum - should be no problem.

Obviously there are lots of folks who 'can' work on the car, but assuming you want it looked at by those held in some esteem - then you have two choices really:
Official TVR authorised - Dreadnought Garage in Callendar
Independent specialist - V8 Sports & Classics in Drem (nr Edinburgh).
Both have their supporters, and both come reccomended. Your choice is down to whether you want an 'official' stamp in the book or not, and location.

Another option is Lakefield Classics in Kingussie. They specialise in TVR V8's and have a stock of tuning bits..
