It sadden's me to hear, the Bosch and performance car spcialist, Autowerke Ltd in Edinburgh are no longer trading ??
Mike O'Neill looked after my UR quattro for more than 6 years,I had good fath in him as he had past experience of working on quattro rally cars. This is not good news for quattro owners in Scotland, as he had quite a few UR's on his books.
last year I sold my WR, as I was hopeing to move up to an RR 20V version, which I have now done. My plan was to pick up the car from Newcastle, and stop off in Edinburgh and get Mike to check it over, on route to the shire.
So it now looks like John Park at the Aberdeen Volkscentre in Kingswells will get the job, as I don't no any one else up here I would entrust my quattro to?? unless you know something I don't??
Ian......

Hi Ian,
No, John P would get my vote - he looked after my WR and then my RR until I blew it up ( but that was my fault - kind of!)
Enjoy your RR - I loved mine (until the last 90 seconds or so!!!!)

PS I have 2 "Waltons" for sale in aid of the OMS engine fund (one with a dust jacket the other without if anyone in the qoc is interested before I put them on the dreaded 'Bay)

Ian....
Run many quattros for years and live in Edinburgh. Didn't rate Autoewerke for the sole reason that they traded solely on Mike's rep for his previous quattro experience. Latter years he had nothing to do with the tools and the people who last worked on my departed RR were the 'tools' themselves. Overcharged me, didn't complete agreed workscope, 'forgot' to replace the ABS sensor caps and generally a bad all round experience.
Won't be missed!

Have to agree. Mike's name was mentioned when I was pondering booking my car in to Autowerke (and I subsequently did) but alas... the goons worked on it and ed it up.
If he's as good as people say he is then why doesn't he advertise himself more? Scotland is severely lacking with quattro specialists.
