The SIDC have booked up Knockhill on Saturday 22nd October for a full day event.

9am to 5pm with an hours break for lunch at 12:30.

Cost is only £95 for SIDC members, £105 for non-members.

A limited number of half day sessions are also available for £50/£60.

Places are limited to guarantee quality track time and no queueing.

As well as the usual Imprezas, EVOs, ELises, Exiges etc, we're also expecting a few Ferrari's, some TVRs, Caterfields etc to take part as well.

Should be a cracking day out, despite what the weather may be.

You can boom on-line at http://shop.sidc.co.uk in the track day section. Full day options are on the 2nd page, half day options on the first page.

Well I'd love to boom on-line, but sadly it'll be 2006 before I can get out on track again Looking forward to the sessions next year though.

For anyone that hasn't done one of the SIDC events before, I can recommend them - good driving and track manners; and John's organisation is spot-on too.

Are 2nd drivers plus passengers OK for this event?

I want to bring a friend along to have a run in my car- understandably I'd like to be able to sit alongisde him!

Normally no problem on these days as long as all fully signed on.

Aye, I didn't make the last one but CT reminds me that at the previous one (which I was at) it was mentioned in the briefing that this would be the case from then on.

The 'no bare arms' rule makes me smile ... especially for us

See you tomorrow

So !

There is no "right to bare arms" at Knockhill

What about the "right to arm bears" A Rangers supporter with a gun, what a scarey thought

See you guys tomorrow, and if I am feeling brave/stupid I might try to blag a few pax laps.

I doubt a fleece & weatherproof jacket will protect my arms much if I test the FIA bar

I drove my Westfield Xtr2 for the first time. Only managed to do about 10 laps as the car was not handling at all. I found out the LHS front wheel hub had a crack in it and the wheel was only held in place by the brake system. Also the steering is too stiff. No wonder the car was not handling.

Hoping to fix the problems by next trackday in November.

Hi Mass - nice to meet you at the end of the day - hope things get sorted quickly, AND to get a run in your XTR someday - very impressive piece of kit indeed

Eric, nope

Not from me at least - just happened to park over it, giving myself a fleg...

There weren't any TVRs there, so I couldn't even blame it on one of them
