The watch repairer I've used has retired (Brendon Haddock in Edinburgh).
Any suggestions for an alternative, central Scotland preferably.

thanks

Think I used this one for my IWC pilot chrono: https://www.watchrepaircentre-glasgow.co.uk/

It's East Kilbride.

https://www.martinsjewellers.co.uk based in Maryhill.

Well known in Glasgow as being about the best for watch repairs.

Another vote for Martins in Maryhill. I took my father's 58 year old watch to him a few years ago after it had been sitting in a drawer for 40+ years and he serviced it. I wore the watch for 3 days this week when we went to Inverurie for a wedding and it worked flawlessly and kept perfect time

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try Martins. The watches are my Dad's Bulova Accutron and my 21st birthday watch, both mid seventies.

Given the age, he may still have a look at them:

Who is Brendan Haddock?
Inheriting his Grandfathers tools and parts and with a fascination of mechanics from an early age, Brendan started training as a watchmaker in 1973, 50 years ago.

He continued in his quest for knowledge in gemmology by completing his FGA and his DGA with distinction and passed the much coveted National Association of Goldsmiths PJValDip. Brendan & Margaret opened their Edinburgh store at Murrayfield in 1984 and it was very much a part of the community thereafter, celebrating 40th years in their own business in 2024.

Retiring from the distractions of a busy retail premises, he now focuses on vintage horological repair & restoration by appointment only.
