Is this possible when there's a big gig on e.g. Foo Fighters?

I've lived in Glasgow my entire life but North of the river and have never had to drive when going to Hampden.

Happy to walk 30 mins in, if for example I might get parked on the wide quiet streets around Pollokshields? Any experiences or pointers? Unsure where things go from busy to normal urban traffic!

Can approach via the M8 or M74.

Sainsbury carpark at Muirend should be around a 30 minute walk

The distance wouldn't be an issue but according to their website they have a 2hr limit which is no good as they'll have ANPR cameras like most these days.

There is plenty on street parking on Merrylee Road, close enough for your 30 minute walk, far enough that anyone attending Hampden wouldn't park there

It's maybe a bit further, but if you get a pace on I would go somewhere around Shawfield Drive, at least you are on the other side of the Polmadie Junction and that usual ball ache there. Still don't understand the muppets that drive to big events and then moan about the traffic. Its always carnage for hours after.

I fully expect to get stuck in traffic!

I've never taken the car for an event at Hampden before - usually train it into town and just walk from there - only doing it as I am picking up and dropping off from a few locations.

Merrylee Rd as suggested above sounds a good option - will probably come off the Motorway at Pollok or Silverburn and come in from the back.

Silverburn and Merrylee Road is the route I go to Hampden, I've never seen any major congestion on that route

This worked a treat, thanks again.

Plenty space to park without annoying residents, and no issues at all with traffic on way in or back.
