Ford B-Max Timing belt replacement - Edinburgh Area

Afternoon all,

My mum has a 1.0 Ecoboost B-Max that she has owned since new. It's low mileage but coming up for 10 years old and needs the timing belt done. Her local Ford dealer in Edinburgh has quoted £2400 to change the belt which seems ridiculously expensive to me. The dealer is saying they need to remove the engine to change the belt!

Any thoughts or guidance on a reasonable cost or garage would be appreciated. She lives on the North west side of Edinburgh but happy to travel within reason.

No problem. £815 + VAT. the costs are on their website. The car is also getting a service and MOT a the same time.
