Hi men,
Visiting Perth later and was looking at parking in the multi-storey car park in Kinnoull St.
The write ups are shocking, but I am wondering if it’s as bad as some say, anyone here ever stayed there?
My wife refuses to use it since getting stung with a penalty charge despite paying to park.Visiting Perth later and was looking at parking in the multi-storey car park in Kinnoull St.

I've 3 parking tickets in my life, 1 was from the street next to where I lived at the time as they had dug up my road and I handn't noticed it was residents only. The other 2 were from Kinnoull St Car Park haha!Cupid-stunt said:
any reason you picked this car park?
Canal Street is covered.
Loads of space nearby (not covered) by Matalan.
We are attending a school show at the Theatre there and the car park is next to it, seemed a good idea, but some of the comments are atrocious, hard to believe its that bad if you pay what you owe.Canal Street is covered.

I am intrigued what happened, want to elaborate?
Lots got 'charges' due to a typo in early days a d probably still do as no parking tickets are issued by machines. You have to type in your reg number and the ANPR does its thing. The car park owners have a reputation for not listening to such reasons.
Never had a problem in it but always make sure I'm extra careful.
If you don't mind a short walk I would park down the shore road carpark or the streets around Princes Street/Edinburgh Road.
We used it last week for a school show too.
The kerbs on the ramps are high, so try and take a wide swing to avoid them.
There are many stories of fines - it's a private car park and the payment system is pretty crap. Just make sure you note the exact time you enter which the ANPR system will log, pay by Ringo if you can when you leave for the appropriate time period - it's rounded to hours and we had to choose 6 rather than 4. There was a member of staff on hand to help last Friday.
No fine yet!
It is very convenient for the concert hall.

Well all good so far, drove in at 1630, returned to car at 2145 tapped reg in carefully (double checked reg was right), in parking machine, paid for six hours, checked with another driver there said you didn’t have to scan it going out, he said ANPR scans you going out, but keep the ticket just in case.
I can see some getting caught if they get their times wrong, or linger after having paid for the ticket.
Must be different after a particular time as the ticked was valid to 0350 next day.
Thanks for all your comments one and all, but no problems………….so far, ticked is tucked safely away.
