Tyre help in OBAN - Cayman

Just had a call from a friend in London (I am in Perth)
He had a puncture tonight and is in need of a set of new tyres.
The thought of driving to London tomo with foam, limited to 50mph, wtih his young daughter sounds awful.

Anyone know where he can get a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4s in OBAN?
Size 235/35/ZR19

Any help appreciated to help him and family get back!

Can’t help with specifics, but if you’re saying he is driving to London tomorrow it sounds like he needs to find somewhere that has them in stock, ready to fit.

My plan would be to use the foam and try to find somewhere on the route that has a tyre in stock. Start googling places in Glasgow and work south.

Unlikely in Oban but no need to drive all the way to London!

There is a Porsche dealer in Glasgow, I’d expect they keep some in the shelf if somewhere closer can’t provide.

Tried Blackcircles for fitting in Oban but earliest date was the 24th.

Yep - nothing online that can be ordered to where he is by tomorrow.
Guessing Glasgow OPC is the best bet, but was hoping that a shout out here might bring an surprise ....

Even if someone has one that they were keeping as a 'spare' following a same axle change ...

Not sure about anywhere so far west but if there is nothing closer than Lanarkshire, try Cooper Bros in Cumbernauld/Newmains. As well as retail they supply wholesale to lots of garages including some of the big chains and have a couple of massive warehouses so will have most things in stock

I'm in Oban, went to Glasgow for Michelin PS5 but Kerries Tyres could probably get you them for Saturday. i'm due some Dunlops in on Tuesday.

Happy to help, Oban's a great place but getting stuff and getting stuff done can be a little trying at times. In addition, most of the garages are so booked up with work that it can be a couple of weeks before a job gets done. There are no "main dealers" locally but most manufacturer have a big glass showroom about 70 mile away in Stirling......
