Surely the western governments are doing the same as they did with Hitler in 1939 when he invaded Poland, why are we not putting armed forces on the ground to stop Ukraine becoming the 2020 version of Syria? I know it could provoke WW3 but it would be better to stand up to a genocidal maniac now than later.
With nukes involved? No thanks. The situation in Ukraine is tragic, but tell me how it can be improved by sending in NATO armies. Putin has a history of invading every seven years. Just let the sanctions have their effect, and make sure he knows any future invasions will be met with steel.
Hitler....... nukes terrifying but not as bad as a progressive threatener who has no morals and thinks he has the right to reintroduce history. Would you say give him space if it was your family under the bombs? The west was disgraceful in its support of the innocents in Syria, I am ashamed over our back up of people like the kurds and the yazidis.
Social media not the best place for a debate, but my Dad was under occupation by the Nazis, not a great experience, but hunger was worse than the oppression. The point being that the wheel of history will turn, and the tide is already against Putin as vile invader and as a leader. Our collective shame over not intervening in various genocides doesn’t justify a military intervention in this entirely different scenario.

Do you not remember Chechnya, Georgia, Syria? the last 10m days have been the culmination it seems of his whole raison d'etre. And, unless the west stands up to him, he will just keep pushing, intimidating and bombing.
