We're up in Oban and think the two nearest places are "Wunda Wheels" in Larkhill and "Young Driver" at Falkirk or Braehead and a few other places.
Anyone any experience of either company or venue or recommend anywhere else.
Thanks

Thanks, to be fair, none of them are likely to be near so Knockhill is a possibility although I see most courses are for motorspor rather than just getting started kids.
He can hurtle around he garden on a go/stop mower but that's the nearest he's been to being behind a wheel.
Interesting though that the Knockhill starter course is 3.5 hours. Most others are about an hour. Was thinking that an hour would be enough (tiring) to start BUT it's a long way to go for an hour....

Lets start at the very beginning as Mary Poppins once said.
Having seen the speeds he gets up to on a little mower, the damage that could be done in a RR doesn't bear thinking about.

Would be suprised if LR let him out of the 4low gearbox.

Colin McCrae incarnate when he's on the mower, pedal to the metal and all that.

My nephew did a couple of sessions at Hamilton Racecourse. Don't know who the company was but maybe a Google search might throw something up.

My son did the course at Falkirk stadium. Was only an hour but actually quite good from the “teaching driving” angle. Wasnt just a case of going round a circuit at 10mph. Lots of stop, start again, change gear up to 2nd type stuff.

That's the "Young Driver" one. Seems more of a National concern than Wunda Wheels. Quite a bit more expensive, at £80/hr as opposed to £45. Wonder why, better cars, instructors, venue?
