I've bought my tuned 996 turbo up with me this week for work and looking at popping out for a bit of hoonage this evening. I have noticed from previous visits lots of roads in poor condition with large potholes, so don't really fancy having a 'follow your nose' speculative meander.

Are there any interesting sweeping corkers of roads in relatively good condition, which you good folk could recommend for me today, so I can pop out and have a play this evening?

Thanks in advance.

A917 up to the East Nuek is a nice wee road and you have yourself a fish supper and icecream from Brattesani’s in Anstruther.

Thanks. Will keep a note for next time.

Took my chances & headed up through Perth, Braemar, Balmoral, over to Cairn O’Mount, then a relatively steady/boring schlep to Dundee, to fill up with VPower, before the home stretch back to Balbirnie House.

Just stunning scenery & roads, loved it.

From Balbirnie I hope you went north via Falkland, Strathmiglo then along to Gateside and down to Bein Inn then along to Bridge of Earn.
That's a decent run if its clear although I'm more conscious of the chance of a cyclist round a blind corner now than I used to be. I'm also not sure what the road surface is like at the moment.

Another route from Balbirnie would be to head for Kennoway on the backroad via Star of Markinch and then from Kennoway up to Cupar on the A916.

If you need VPower there is a Shell in Glenrothes and another in St Andrews.

Thanks. I'm a keen cyclist as well, so always try to be aware of the risk of/to other road users.

I did go through Falkland and there were some lovely surfaces, which deteriorated at the border with the next authority (Kinross I think), but there were some nice twisties, so I was happy following some locals and avoiding the broken bits.
