Does anyone have any recommendations for getting geo done in or nearish Aberdeen? Don't mind travelling a bit, within reason. Looking for someone to check and adjust the geo on my Cayman. I know plenty places do it, but I'm after somewhere that knows what they are going and that seems a bit rarer.

Someone recommended Bridge of Don Garage, not used them myself.

Paul, I used these guys a few years ago and seemed pretty good, change of owners I think since I used them but I'm sure it could be worth giving them a call.

It used to be Clark Motorsport that were in that building with the Hunter equipment and specialist knowledge, but they sold that side of the business on to Jim Reid for him to expand his Sales business, the management and mechanics also left at the same time or shortly after

I've booked the car in with Jim Reid - I hear what's been said about the change of staff and ownership, however the person I spoke to on the phone certainly seemed to know his stuff and gave a good impression. They are still setting up rally cars, it seems. Hopefully they do a good job. Car being done tomorrow so I'll report back when I know how it's gone.

Should be fine with Jim Reid, equally MB Motorsport near Ellon (what used to be Wallace Performance), both have good kit and know what they're doing. Jim Reid likely to be a bit more expensive, however. I've used both and always been happy with the work.

Good to know. I actually used Wallace Performance before on a car when they were at their Altens location. I didn't drive the car for a while after and when I did I had the back end go mid corner when not exactly on it. I pulled over to find the rear wheel had a ridiculous toe angle - clearly something hadn't been tightened properly. I had to have the car recovered and it was confirmed by the garage that was what had happened. I seem to recall WP closed around then, although I suspect I could never have proven it was their mistake anyway...

It was a total pain and spoiled a good day out so I was pretty hacked off. I had used them after seeing a recommendation on here IIRC. I guess everywhere will make mistakes from time to time, but it was a bit of a big one.

Car at the garage so hopefully I will be able to report back soon.

Probably a bit late but..
Graham at Bridge Of Don Garage would be my choice.
State of the art set up and a fellow circuit racer so knows his stuff. The guys in there are all motorsport entwined in some way or another.

Well I got the geo done by Jim Reid last week. Initial impressions are good. The service I received was very good and they listened to what I wanted and did the geo accordingly. The turn in of the car is considerably better and it resists understeer better if you get on the throttle very early. So I'm happy with the results. Oh and the steering wheel is now straight again.

However I was getting the winters changed over and summer tyres put on the daily driver Mondeo on Friday and noted bad unever wear on one of the fronts so it looks like I have another car needing geo... I'm less fussy about the Mondeo so somewhere nearer town would be more convenient for this one as Kintore is a bit of a pain when they want you to leave the car for the day.
