I’m at my wits end with trying to sort out a Lasting Power of Attorney for my mother and the solicitor seemingly having no sense of urgency despite being reminded again and again about the fact that she’s deteriorating in health.
Since going to their offices in mid-December to ask when they plan on answering any emails, or returning any calls, we are yet to even get to the point of having a visit/video call planned despite yet more promises.

I thought that using the same place that she made her will would have made things simpler but it appears not. The piles of paperwork in their reception area should have been a red flag I guess.

So, anyone recommended a solicitor that can sort this out quick sharp if I decide to sack off the current mob?

I've used MacRoberts, Capella, 60 York Street, Glasgow. Excellent service, although rather expensive.
Scullion Law, Salmarket are rated No.1 in Glasgow.
Hope you get sorted.

Currently using Goldsmith Hughes in East Kilbride for conveyancing of my recently deceased mother's flat. They (Eileen Hughes) seem on the ball & reasonably priced.
