As the title says, looking for recommendations for a good vet in Aberdeen. Pets in question are two cats, now starting to get on a bit and starting to require more maintenance. Obviously we use a vet already but not going to name them or discuss reasons for looking to leave in view of forum rules on naming and shaming etc.

With the pup I’ve had a good experience with Ardene House, but it’s just been basic stuff like checkups and vaccinations. Town & Country just off Queen’s Road might a nice and near option for you?

We've used Ashgrove Vetinary Centre on Belmont Rd beside sainsbury's Berryden for 10 years with our current pup and they have been absolutely tremendous with us, along with several family and friends that use them.

We used to be with Town & Country on Prospect Tce (just off Millburn st) with our last dog and stopped using them for several reasons, as did a family member with their dog.

We also use Ashgrove (Belmont Road wink ) they are very good, especially Kevin. They have a branch in Peterculter too.

Fat finger syndrome biggrin Kevin is tremendous. Our pup is unbelievably difficult and needs to go to the vets even just for a haircut and they somehow work their magic and keep her calm.

We use Bridge Vets in Portlethen and they are first class. I believe they have a branch in BoD also.

My wife used Swan’s in Holborn Street for care of her Jack Russell for many years. Lovely chap, great with her (the dog) who could be a bit feisty, and very reasonable.

Abervet in Wellington Road have been really good with my German Shepherd. He hates the vets and is a complete nightmare. Their really patient with him, very understanding and sympathetic to his "I hate vets phobia" The gent there, who I forget his name, will also write you a prescription so you can purchase from thy internet should you require longer term treatment via medication.

Probably the best vet I've been to during the last 22 years of pet ownership

Hope you find someone you like and your wee cats are fine

Yup Bridge Vets here for our two cats and no issues with them so far.

My sister has been part of the management at Bridge Vets from almost from the beginning of the Scott Rigg era, brilliant vet practice.

You also have the advantage of AVR being the same organization.
