Parking ding/skuff
Discussion
I've not used their services personally, but know several people who have, and they have all been very happy with the results. Paint my lease car based in Shettleston.

Before you go to the insurance i used a guy in kirkintilloch called frankie. His number is 07722 373013. He is in the industrial estate beside kwik fit in high street kirki. He repaired my wifes new macan after she drove into a parking machine in a multistorey! Other places quoted over £1000 and frankie did the scraped bonnet and front wing for £300!! Hes done an unbelievable job- also blended in several big stone chips at the same time. The match is perfect- give him a call. I wouldnt use any other bodyshop now. He is very well regarded in the local area.

Nope no damage to NCB
You still have to answer the question "have you made any claims" for the next 5 years, with a YES. Your premium will likely be adjusted appropriately.I had a £5k claim on a brand new (3 weeks old) Volvo when a young lad failed to see the big blue bus stopped in front of him. Next year (actually, this year) my premium fell compared to the year before (by about 10%).
YMMV

Err no, policy in my name wife was driving I dont have claim and not our fault
The question is (paraphrasing) "have you made an insurance claim?" . Your answer now has to be yes. It's not a question if you held the policy, or if you were at fault (they will follow when you click yes). They absolutely can punish you for making claims on a no-fault on someone else's policy. Maybe it won't affect your price, but you still have to click the yes button as you have made an insurance claim. It's a landmine that insurance companies leave in the questions. If you answer "no" and you make a big claim, they can they say you answered dishonestly and get umpty about your claim, because regardless of blame you ARE making an insurance claim. Its unfair, yes, but its the game they play.

That is definitely not always true that post a non-fault claim your premiums rise.
Agreed. You'll still have to tick the "Yes" box for "have you made an insurance claim in the last 5 years?".Some companies will punish you, some won't. Not declaring it could possibly invalidate your insurance.

But the OP won’t have made an insurance claim. Some companies will punish you, some won't. Not declaring it could possibly invalidate your insurance.
The person who hit the OP’s car will make an insurance claim against their policy. The proceeds of the claim will be handed to the OP. But at no time will the OP be making an insurance claim.
