As the title says,

Can't seem to find a suitable strech for some flat out runs...any ideas ?? Germany is a little far and I've only got the car for a short while.

Braemar to Spittal of Glenshee and back at 4am. Watch out for deer though.

track day at knockhill or East Fortune?

ain't no better places to stretch a car's legs than a track day .....imho

as has been said, the devil's elbow at glen shee, be aware though that the plod set speed traps on the aberdeen braemar section to catch the bikers over the weekend. or. there are a few nice little sections over the lecht to tomintoul. and inverness to ullapool..spoilt for choice.

For flat out in terms of maximum speed, then the road from Oldmeldrum to Colpy is good. Long straights, good visibility and small enoough not to bother the scamera vans.

Cheers to all that replied. Had myself two evenings, well rather late nights actually, of 350z jollies ! An early am trip to the Westhill roundabout after some drizzle had lubed the tarmac, was a hole lotta fun. A 350z has to be one of the easiest cars to drift. Nice long throttle travel and a ample torque from low revs. You can get her sideways at quite low speeds which allows you a larger margin for error. Handy when you've got chunky kerbs a clumsy prod of the throttle away !

My lasting impression is of the relentless pace of the thing. The car is a whole lot quicker than the stats would have you think. It reached V-Max on relatively short straights. The Garlogie to Echt stretch has a long-ish straight leading into Echt with a bit of a yump halfway down. The 350z hit an indicated 165mph at just over 6500rpm with plenty space to brake, albeit very hard, before the 30mph limit that marks Echt ! Though I was very concious of having the steering arrow straight as the car crested that yump at over 150mph. You do get the sense that the Z will punnish any daft mistakes severely. Which is refreshing for a 21st century sports car.

I was so impressed with the Z. It seems like such good value for money to me .... it costs the same as a TT but you get a car with so much more soul and speed for your spend. I want one very badly ! What do you chaps think of them ?

Haven't driven the 350Z on the road but Jonathan Palmer uses them at his Bedford corporate days and the instructors encourage big power slides. Great fun - everyone very impressed with them on a value for money basis too.

Palmer say thay only have the Nissan brake upgrade - otherwise standard, hammered every day and give no trouble.
