Had to take car into Glasgow as picking up a new TV.
Parked at the Q Park in Jamaica St. Very surprised to see the parking spaces were huge! Probably close to double space.
Recommend this though realistically the spaces are probably wider than the ramps!

There's a wee car park in Ingram street next to café Gandolfi, well it's really just a bit of hard ground with some potholes, really handy for the centre, parked my Elgrand there no problem for a few days.

Yep, Jamaica St is a good car park, apart from the helter-skelter ramp up from road level hehe

Q Park at Candleriggs / Merchant City also has a large number of wide spaces if I remember correctly.

We get a £5 full day ticket via work for the Jamaica St Q park. Good size spaces but the helter skelter to get in is an alloy killer. There's another Q park on Waterloo st nearer my office but it's 3x the price with smaller spaces.

On a similar subject, I have started a new job at the bottom end of St Vincent St near to the M8.

Does anyone know of any cheap all day parking in the area? I will be mostly commuting by train but would have the occasional day where I may have the car in and don't want to pay NCP type all day prices?

I presume this is down near the new-ish Scottish Power offices? If you're willing to walk a bit, there's a few open patches on Anderson Quay that offer parking for maybe £5-6 per day.

There's also the Gurdwara (Sikh temple) in Finnieston, which has an underground car park that's open to the public during the day for a reasonable price. I haven't used it personally, however I've heard sometimes it gets so busy that the last few cars in are asked to leave keys to allow them to reshuffle to let people out.

Yeah that’s where I am based.
Been advised there is one in Elliot St down towards the Hydro that charge £3.50 for all day parking.
Anyone used it?

The car parks around the cathedral area (between Strathclyde Uni and the Cathedral) are usually fairly empty and are £1 an hour, compared to about £4/hr at NCP in George st.
