My recently purchased BMW X1 will be due a service shortly and at 3 years old, I am looking at dealer prices v independents. But I would like an indie that can update the service details on the idrive car system and service to manufacturer guidelines.

Anyone in Lanarkshire / Glasgow area to be recommended?

I haven't had any experience with them personally, but I hear good things about B&M Centre in Yoker. Ex BMW tech's and have access to the BMW service systems.

I used B&M when I had my MINI. Nothing but positive things to say about them, I’d use again if I go back to something they’d deal with.

I used these guys when I lived in Glasgow, very good to deal with and a high standard of work. Decent prices too, I would recommend them:

Me too. They did an Inspection 2 on my Z4m last year, really nice guys and seemed to do a great job.

Cheers for recommendations guys.

Anyone used M Tek in Rutherglen which is a bit closer to Lanarkshire?

They replaced a radiator for me last year. Left the undertray hanging off, the bumper poorly refitted, one headlight aligned to face the moon, the other with a mounting bolt missing.

I wouldnt trust them to replace a wheel on a skateboard.

I've used them for years. Very helpful and sensible prices.

Emailed B for BMW nearly a week ago (as they didn't answer their phone) for a quote for a service and front pads to get replaced, only recieved their quote this morning

Deutschtek on the other hand quoted the same day and fitted me in at short notice

Have used B for BMW in the past and found them fine but their lack of comms speed lost them the business even before they quoted on this one

I have used B4BMW since they started, they aren't your usual indy...much better! They have a significant amount of very high specification cars coming and going, some of the vehicles are very, very new...are these coming from main dealers...food for thought. Always very busy and many high spec BMW, Audi and Porsche's coming and going.

I have used B4BMW since they started, you get the big dealership customer service but the indy expertise...much better! Andy is a die-hard BMW man so I always felt great about leaving my car.
