Cowdenbeath racewall

I used to attend this way before I could drive, so that's around 20 years ago. The website still shows active fixtures with the same race classes that I remember.
Does anyone still go and is it still as exciting? I remember you used to be able to get dangerously close to the oval, going home covered is discarded rubber and stinking of tyre smoke.
Used to be able to get a walk round the paddock, have a nose round the cars and talk to whoever you liked.
Is it still the same or has the health and safety mob got their mitts on it?

Jeez, that brings back memories. Stocks on a Sunday, mental. And the smell of the fuel/exhaust... You've just reminded me. Does anyone still go and is it still as exciting? Never leaves you. And the mentalists in the banger racers. Not wired right those boys but hugely entertaining. I remember the stocks. A wide bodies 306 with God knows what in it just at full chat from start to finish.
Sod it, buying tickets for August.
Those days we turned up in fiesta turbos, RS torbos and cosworths. This time I'll.be there in a rather dull 7 series cos it's a long drive and I'm old and broken.
Car numbers are down compared to 10 years ago specially the F2 but still good racing to be seen
Another option is a couple o miles along the road at Lochgelly a great track also with in my opinion better facilities and if you get there sharp there is parking overlooking the track should it be a bit cold.
Superstox world final being held there in August
