Out of curiosity, why were you wanting bigger gravel?
I may answer my own question here - I have standard sized red chuckies and they do stick to tread of tyres , and occasionally get into brakes!
I have a trail of stones out onto the road at my driveway that I need to regularly brush back in!

My Dad said that the smaller 20-30mm was not as well suited. Ended up going with 30-40mm as they didn't have 2.5 inch but it has worked out well. Better for drainage the slightly bigger size.I may answer my own question here - I have standard sized red chuckies and they do stick to tread of tyres , and occasionally get into brakes!
