Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good place to get a set of 18" multispoke wheels stripped and refurbished at a reasonable distance from Westhill?

I have an Alfa GT with 18" Jetfin alloys. They have been refurbished approx 3.5 years ago but were done to an appalling standard. The laquer is peeling, the paint is flaking off and the metal below is corroding. I am looking for somewhere that will chemically strip the wheels and properly prepare them so it lasts.

I am tempted to get them refinished in a different colour too so Ideally somewhere that has experience of this.

Thanks,

Custom Coatings at Newmachar have been recommended to me. A bit further away but also well recommended are Coatech at Carnoustie.

I have had wheels done by The Wheel Specialists in Dyce and they are still in very good nick after a number of years.

I'll second Custom Coatings at Newmachar. They are well priced, the work is good and they offer free pick up's and returns so no need to worry about getting out to Newmachar.

Any other recommendations? I tried both of the above and they were really helpful but neither of them would do a polished outside edge on my split-rims.
