Moffat to Crief
Discussion
This would be my route of choice, might depend how much time you're looking to spend though... https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Moffat/Innerleit...
The Moffat to Selkirk road (past St Mary's Loch) is a great road. Take a left at the Gordon Arms pub to head north towards Traquair and onto Innerleithen. Once you get there, you could either take the A703 from Peebles north to Edinburgh, or the B709 north to the A7 through the hills and on towards Edinburgh that way.
From there, Edinburgh bypass to the Forth bridge, north on the A90 until you get to Kelty, then follow the signs for Knockhill and on to Powmill. For some reason Google maps doesn't seem to want to take you past Rumbling Bridge on the way to Yetts o'Muckhart. Take the A823 towards Gleneagles (the Glendevon road is a favourite of mine) and keep going through Gleneagles until you get to the A822, which will take you to Crieff.
Enjoy

Some great options on your route. Takr the road up by St Mary’s loch, then Peebles and up to Edinburgh that way. Then a little boredom round the Edinburgh bypass and across the Forth Bridge. But then come off the M90 at the Knockhill junction and go up via Knockhill, Rumbling Bridge, Glendevon and Gleneagles. These routes to and from Edinburgh are popular biker routes as there are some great sections on them.
Edited - beaten to it! Great minds and all that...
