Forced road wheel balancing
Discussion
I have used Autotec in Greenock before for their Hunter Road Force balancing machine. I would deffo phone them to book in before just turning up, I didn't but they managed to squeeze me in as I had travelled a bit and couldn't come back later in the day.
I had a problem previously with a new a new set of tyres fitted to a new set of wheels, so wasn't sure if the cause was tyres or wheels.
I was getting a lot of vibration through the chassis where you could see the passenger seat vibrating, I knew it wasn't a typical wheel balance issue, anyway I took it to them (about 30 miles from me). All 4 wheels were spun up on the machine and 1 was flagged as problematic and it suggested that the tyre was rotated to a different point on the wheel. This was done and then everything was re-balanced as normal. This cured the problem I had. The machine was an impressive bit of kit and the guys knew their stuff.

Perfect guys thats what a like to heat good recomendations ..cars already booked in for saturday , thanks
I have used them for the last 7 years. Owner is a top notch guy and I have nothing but respect for him. I have had a mix bag of experience due to the employees - the good thing is you are allowed to watch, go round the side where the wheel balancing is done, so if you see anything you don't feel happy with then just say.
