Scottish Car Show - 15th July

Darn! It was on Groupon but the deal has expired, unfortunately. £16 per person for the fast track ticket (normally £30). I didn't realise a lot of it would be indoors, either.
£20 each for a normal ticket is a bit steep, but other than Le Mans, I am unlikely to make it to any other "car" event this year.
Has it been good in previous years, if anyone has been?

I went last year and quite enjoyed it tbh. Even met/got a photo with Fuzz from Car SOS, very decent chap.
There is an indoor bit, but most is outside.
Well organised, plenty of space for everyone and loads to see. If we go tomorrow will probably take our own pack lunch this time, food stalls were awful.
The vintage trucks were unexpected, hope theyre there again. Probably my favourite vehicles on the day.

We went, and took a good few pictures, but I wasn't hugely impressed with the selection of cars (my tastes, but lowered Golf's, Leon's etc don't do a lot for me) and the music was a bit too intrusive, especially up where the Atom's were being chucked around.
The two main buildings had some very nice stuff in it though. Getting to pet a Meerkat was probably the highlight! Also, the classic E-Type in the car park (and its odd monster truck friend) were a nice find as we left!
Not convinced it was worth £20 each per adult plus £5 for parking. Glad we got there early though, the queue to get in by 10 was enormous.
I think for us, the proper classic shows like at Thirlstane Castle are more our speed.

Monsterlime - I agree with your comments. We were asked fairly recently if we wanted to attend as they seem to be trying to attract more classics to appeal to a wider audience.
The music in the first hall was ridiculously loud - I felt sorry for the older couples with their nice MGA and Jensen having to endure that all day. The second hall was a lovely peaceful area in comparison. The "music" outside was a bit loud too but at least they turned it down for Kevin Carmichael.
The general consensus in the club is we won't attend again and I have spoken to a few people today who the show is aimed at and they said much the same.

I had a ticket to enter my car with the TIPEC club but changed my mind ..last year was poor with halls of fast and furious type ,not my scene and the music was very loud , It seems this years was a lot better more to see but entry by 9am and not allowed out till 5pm put me off it,Went one year and displayed my Boxster Spyder in the top 20 area had ear plugs in the whole day never again ,outside is a lot better .
Glad to have given it a miss by the sounds of it. I'm not a fan of thumping music and the price was a bit off putting, especially to hear that parking was extra (shock, people going to a car show travel by car!).
Might pop along to Truckfest in August to see something a bit different but the venue still rip you off on the parking. Thirlestane Castle was great, even though the weather dampened proceedings a little.
