Motor Sport in the west and Highlands??
Discussion
I've recently moved to Oban after 10 years in Yorkshire (5 on Skye and 50 in North East England before that).
I've competed in Hillclimbs, Sprints, Road Rallies both as a driver and a navigator & Autotests over the years, are there any events in the Oban are that the average club competitor can enter or marshall on?
Not really looking to do stage events or HERO type events as they are to expensive for a guy on a pension!
So I guess that's the Snowman, Granite City and Mull Rally out.
Doune is a couple of hours away but Forestburngate is 3 hours away, Alford and the like about 5 hours.

There's not much locally to compete on below the level of stage rallying. The LeJog normally passes through in late November/early December and they're often looking for marshals. Too few roads away from the A roads to successfully run a road rally, or daytime targa rally. Hopefully the full Mull Rally will be back in 2019.
