I’m looking for a garage with a “true” floor to accurately measure ride heights on a car to the nearest mm or so, ideally in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire, but can go further afield if need be.

Does anyone know of a garage with such a facility?

Thanks in advance.

I need to ask, what is a true floor?

Would a ramp not be absolutely level?

I don’t think a ramp necessarily would be truly flat, although might be wrong. I’m thinking a difference of 3-4 mm across the ramp would give me incorrect readings.

I know at race circuits they typically have an area which is truly flat for purposes of measuring ride heights etc. This is the sort of thing I was hoping to find, although realise it might not exist.

Spirit level and different thicknesses of board to create 4 wheel pads of horizontalness - isn't that how it's normally done?
