Anyone else not utterly sick of the potholes on the motorway. I try my best to avoid them but sometimes you have no choice but to go in them.
Every year I have a ball ache trying to get my wheels sorted or fixed or replaced.

Its really grating on my now. I sent an email of complaint twice.
Surely this sort of bullst is not acceptable?

Is there anything else I can do. I am sick of having damage to my car.

Get in line...

It's an issue that is starting to grate on most, hence several threads on the subject and it's also starting to filter in to the newspapers and such like but to be honest, it's nothing new but yes... it does seem to be getting worse of late.

Granted, a few years ago we used to run about on 14" steel wheels or at best 15" alloys with 60 series tyres complete with floaty suspension but now even basis school run stuff comes with 18" wheels and 40 series tyres and that's before we even get in to the realms of 20" or 21" alloys as standard on assorted German stuff and no matter how strong the wheel is, potholes will always come off better.

Buy an old knackered to run around in... I have one car on 18" wheels with 40 series tyres and it's an utter chore to drive without sat, peering ahead or swerving around or worse, reducing myself to a crawl whilst some tt in an old Sprinter is right up my bumper going mental. I also have an old Volvo on 16" alloys with 55 series tyres and soft suspension and it's an utter joy.

Or... get the bus.

M77 is an utter fking disgrace, downright dangerous with the amount of potholes. It's not an old road, shouldn't be that bad already(though rumour had it that around one in five of the trucks used to cut off at Fenwick to nip along to the equestrian centre where the roadworkers were staying, and it's well built up on a good aggregate base.... )

Completely agree. There is no excuse what so ever for the condition of the M77.
Drop an email to Info@TrafficScotland.org complaining about the state of the motorway and what junctions are the problems. I told them it was a shambolic mess from J5 to J8 both ways.

Every day I use it I see people weaving and swerving in and off the hard shoulder to miss this massive craters.
I had an email exchange with Info@TrafficScotland.org and they stated the motorway is inspected twice a week for major potholes, I said well even a blind man could spot these potholes because they would be able to feel themselves drive in and out of them.

That was two weeks ago. I emailed them again a few days ago and said I wanted to put in a claim for damages.
I am sick and tired of having to get my wheels fixed every dam year because they are too lazy to fix stuff and fix it properly.

People need to start complaining about it and putting in claims. I know its annoying and sometimes you just can't be bothered (I have been guilty of this too) but this is what they count on.

I don't think the cycling and motorcycling season will be much fun this year. I predict lots of accidents, injuries and damage to machines.
