Royal Deeside Speed Festival

It is with deep regret and sadness that the we announce that the Royal Deeside Speed Festival scheduled for 16th June 2018 has been cancelled.
As many of you will know we have had a number of difficulties in organising the Event this year and many factors out with our control have combined to make it impossible for us to deliver the event to the standard which we want to, and so we have decided it better to cancel rather than run an event which falls below our high expectations.
Looks like another event has gone for this year

Today's paper reports suggest it's now gone for good.
Yes it cites the price of hay bales needed to secure the course as the reason... I would have thought the hay could have been used for bio fuel or feed or whatever afterwards, but clearly more to it.That's a pity.... Only a couple of miles from my door too...
Such a shame as it was a good event.
I thought it was very strange that there hadn't been many updates about the event.
A lot of the businesses and cars I would have expected to have appeared at The Royal Deeside Speed Festival were originally named as attending the failed Argyll festival of performance. It was scheduled just a couple of weeks prior.
I wonder if Argyll had stolen too much of the Deeside festival and not enough people were able to commit to Deeside?
