Hi All,

Where does everybody in Glasgow/Paisley buy their car cleaning products? Halfords is always awful and I'd rather see the wash mitts etc than order from online.

Thanks,

Scott

Halfords wash mitt is very good actually, have used them for a while with no issues and their bendy wheel brush is equally good as are some of the little detailing brushes... they also sell a pretty extensive collection of products / brands so you're spoiled for choice but the car cleaning industry is mind boggling vast these days with countless brands, products, price ranges and suppliers. I'm pretty much a staunch Autosmart man, great products and very good value for money but the reality is, the possibilities are so vast that really, there is no definitive answer.

Halfords use to sell the Meguiars and AG Lambswool mitts but they only have their own green horrible things in the ones I've been in that I really don't like. Agree they have a good range of products, the AG stuff is my go to normally but looking for some advanced stuff as I'm not happy with the finish at present.

As far as products go, have never used them nor heard of them until recently but these guys seem to be getting a good name for themselves, few awards won so far and fairly local too?

forget it's name but the wee shop across the road from the Ingram SEAT garage in Kilmarnock has a good selection.

Didn't see any wash mitts but had meguiars, poorboys and auto finesse products, maybe others too but those brands caught my eye.

That's the one - I randomly popped in for some screenwash and 10 mins later I had spent about 60 quid on cleaning products. Good guy, he gave me the screenwash for free.

https://www.infinitywax.com/ - I use a few of the products from these guys, including their snowfoam, quick detailer and new Supergloss+ wax.

Ignore the website when it says they are in Newbridge, that shop has shut, so you'll either need to go through to Glenrothes, buy online ofr get some from the van if it's in your area.

Very active on Facebook, probably a better option if you're on there.

I also buy from www.cleanyourcar.co.uk and www.autobrite-direct.co.uk

Angelwax Vision glass cleaner is excellent and their H2GO glass sealant is astonishing. I put a coat of that on the rear (no wiper) and side windows on my first Jag, water just disappears almost instantly, even in heavy rain. I'd forgotten how good it was until I traded the car in and realised there was none on the new one first time I drove it in rain.
