Horizontal Log Splitter

looking to buy one, any do's/don't, good manufacturer/bad manufacture, what to look out for?

Don't get less than 5 tonnes. I had a 4 and quickly traded up to an 8 tonne version. Cuts almost anything. I can cut and split a tonne bag worth in just over an hour. Got mine off eBay as was cheapest.

Not really horizontal!

I was always told you get twice the heat from firewood, once when burning it once when chopping it.
A good workout and stress release too.
These are bloomin sharp though so be careful.
