A82 still closed at Tarbet?

Driving from Glasgow to Glencoe tomorrow morning, and I heard that the A82 will be closed after Tarbet 0800-1800.

I can't seem to find anything about it online, other than the huge works that were due to finish last week.

Am i going to have to go via Stirling? I'd prefer not to!

Matrix on the way to Erskine Bridge this evening, confirmed tomorrow's closure. Two weeks ago I went Arrocher, Rest and Be Thankful, Inveraray, Dalmally and Tyndrum to get to Glencoe and Fort William.

It was the matrix today on the way to the Erskine Bridge that warned me! Couldn't find anything about it online though.

I did finally find some news about it. Not clear at all on the upcoming works pages!

BEAR Scotland who maintain that stretch of road are usually quite good at letting you know about closures if you message them on twitter or facebook. If you have either that is.

I had to go Stirling Way travelling back from Oban to Glasgow today...took forever!

Door to door journey time regardless of time of day between Glencoe and Glasgow via Loch Lomond versus Stirling is pretty much identical. When I travel to Glasgow from Onich I take the Stirling route unless its the middle of the night etc.

Tend to agree
Used to stay on Skye, usually travelled via Callander, sometimes L Lomond and Glasgow. Virtually same time and distance. What was more of a problem was holiday traffic etc.
Now moving to Oban, I came back Callander last night.
