Am booked up for a test day at Knockhill on the 9th April, considering giving the Scottish Saloon and sports car series a go, have just built a beastie whixh is overkill for trackdays and you cant beat getting out and racing

If anyone is there on the 9th come say hello- Will be doing a shakedown in my White Honda S2000, will be looking to ask plenty questions and see what stuff makes it into what classes etc

Cheers

Where have you raced before?

Hi, not done competitive circuit racing before, plenty trackdays and autocrossing on the loose etc.

Will do selected sprints and hillclimbs in the car too but the more the merrier as aint road legal.

Using the test day to get a feel for the car (prob be the first time I will have driven it) and also have a looksee whether or not I would be at all competitive, not keen spending all that money if was just to make up the numbers..

I see your from the NE, I Live in Aberdeen, any pics of your car so i can come say hello?

Foz,

I'll see if I can dig out a picture. You'll find me at the ICR Motorsport garages, there will be a big white awning out the front of the garages with all the Caterhams in.

Probably a stupid question, but I assume even though you have not competed before you do have a competition licence? You need one to test.

Yeah got a competition license, not a full race one though- aint done the ARDS test yet- will decide if it's worth my while doing it- also fancying a pop at rallying and condiering next years 205 eccosse challenge.

As regards the autocrossing just did one at dalcrue a couple of weeks ago, great fun.

Foz,

You may want to check this, but unless I am mistaken the minimum licence level for general testing is Race National B, which requires an ARDS test.

Foz,

I looked at you profile and took the link to the pics of your car. I then had a nose around some of the other pics and vids you've got stashed there.

There's a couple of short vids of Jim Geddie's 911 on the KH pit straight. In both of them, when you pan to the left (as the car goes by) my missus is standing next to you - she's the one wearing the daft Westfield hat (not her's but she was freezing that day and found it amongst my collection of things I take to events).

Cheers,

N

Hi Foz1,

I've see part of you car already, in another Mr Cowies garage in Fife.

I'll be on Scrutineering duty at Knockhill this weekend, 2-4pm usually on Saturday and from8 on Sunday. Stick your head in at the bay and say Hi!

I've know Ian since late 80's when he was a student. We met him through ADMC and AUMC, oddly enough we're both from Glenrothes.

IIRC he had your rear bumper for a while, intending to paint it!
