RISCO alarm fitters - Glasgow
Discussion
Hi.
We've not had any issues with the system. Assorted motion and shock sensors around the house. One of them has a camera built in. The phone app is easy to use.
Thankfully we've not had to use it in anger, though we did only get it fitted after a break in (horse, stable door etc. )
Our system is monitored, and Glendale service it once (or maybe twice) a year. I can't remember which.
David.

Hi,
I work for a large security company that I would rather not name on an open forum.
I know you said Risco system is your preferred but at the moment I'm doing the Pyronix Enforcer wireless alarm system supplied and fitted for £450.
That's including the control panel with integrated keypad, external sounder, 4x internal pirs and one door contact. Other devices can be added for around £40 each if required.
Only the control panel is wired to the mains, everything else is completely wireless which is ideal for a new build home which I'm doing about 3-4 a week just now. And also a years warranty on parts and labour but I've fitted plenty of these without issues.
Compare the Risco and Pyronix and you'll soon make your mind up. Any questions let me know!

The camera n the Pyronix system looks far more sophisticated with the pan and tilt but the PIR camera on RISCO and Yale far more subtle in a domestic environment.
I'm no expert so looking forward to knowledgeable contributions from others.
I'm not keen on RISCO for my application as it is only available through approved installers and the property I want to alarm is just a little further than the back of beyond and alarm technicians expect to get paid for a fair days work.

I have a Risco system. Overall it seems to be a good system. Panels and PIRs discreet and phone app very neat. Have had a few comms issues which may be due to install in Victorian house with thick walls. Have it connected on homeplugs and using a universal sim but app sometimes fails to connect. Have used Glendale for many years and been very happy with the service.
