Aeroplane in Blantyre??
Discussion
I won't post specifics for obvious reasons, but I drove through Blantyre this morning for first time in years and something caught my eye enough to make me want to check on google maps.
And when I did, I see that there seems to be a camouflage type plane sitting in the garden of a house.
Anyone know anything about this? Without being too specific on location?

I saw a replica Spitfire in a garden in Moffat recently

Hi folks, long time lurker as sadly due to budgetary & practical constraints I drive a diesel Toyota Avensis estate rather than anything remotely sporting.
This could possibly be Folland Gnat T1 XM697 which used to live at a garden centre in Carluke but supposedly moved to Blantyre in March 2016. Shape looks right but appears to have changed colour scheme.
Would be interested in knowing the exact location if you feel like divulging.

Those were the exact roads that I 'learned' to drive on. The back roads to Hamilton we used to call them (EK OK!). Thought I knew every inch of all of them; never saw a plane - probably going waaay too fast in my Fiat 128.
(Thanks for the memory-lane trip)
If more comes to light, i'd love to know.

This would seem to suggest you are correct unless there is more than one plane in Blantyre! This could possibly be Folland Gnat T1 XM697 which used to live at a garden centre in Carluke but supposedly moved to Blantyre in March 2016. Shape looks right but appears to have changed colour scheme.
