Absolutely: it's 2 minutes from my house. A great night and lots of really good eateries nearby when it's finished!J
Wish I'd read this thread before I left the house! Best of luck folks, decidely nicer evening than some of the other years. Got fond memories of the MG TD filling up with snow the other year.
Brought my yellow MG B out to Paisley tonight and had a good wander round. Glad to get there before 5pm for a change and had a change to get amongst the cars properly. Said hi to a few folks.
As I said, safe journeys. Seriously thinking of doing the heritage run at some point - I'm not enough of a masochist to spend 30 hours solid behind the wheel of a 40 year old car and do the rallye properly.

Went along and spotted some of the cars posted on here ..but no drivers around to say hello to.
Was a good turnout and a lot of nice cars doing the Heritage run. A bonus stayed dry but cold well it is January.
If it was between 4 and 5 we would all have been in the abbey at the drivers briefing/refreshments. Was a good turnout and a lot of nice cars doing the Heritage run. A bonus stayed dry but cold well it is January.
Couple of people came up and didn't see you mr hoon were you hiding?

As Brian said....we were there..had a quick look round inside the barrier before being ejected by marshalls and event security using whistles....really not required...as the cars were about to move...apparently.Couple of people came up and didn't see you mr hoon were you hiding?
Well almost an hour later one did.
A wee bit too much standing about with host padding until the first car but a nice selection of cars.
Nice pics
Agree with Barry far to much hanging around and waffling from the DJ .They could have kept the area open much longer to let the public see the cars close up and speak with the drivers .The real Monte cars only needed the area cleared 15 mins before the off .A lot of people there where off the opinion that all the cars there where going to MC and not just the 12 or so that did go .Maybe enter it next year myself the Heritage run bit .That's me been to the last 7 starts and way back in 65 when they left from Blyswood Sq outside the RAC building .

Yeah we were all inside at that point came out and they had cleared the areas already. Well almost an hour later one did.

I got stopped from going in a couple of times until I could convince them I was in the rally.
I seen some of the photographers were giving stickers to say they were yet us drivers got nothing not even wrist bands.
Saw this leave from Glasgow Green on a Saturday or Sunday (Can't remember which) morning a few years back and it was great, attracted a huge croud and I thouroughly enjoyed the whole day. So why on earth the organisers decided to move it to Paisley on a week night is beyond me. I would go again if it moved back to Glasgow Green on a weekend but highly unlikely to go to Paisley on a week night.
Glasgow city council didnt want it, it was renfrewshire council that did, they took over the event and okay there isnt the space at the abbey there was at glasgow green or George square they have done a good job. Thats 5 years Paisley has had it and aye between the council and the organisers they are doing well
