Hi, does anyone know a garage willing to try a RFT repair in Edinburgh/West Lothian?

Not managed to find anyone prepared to do it even though michelin say its possible

etyres will, and the price is inline with most other's normal "plug" repairs.

but note

"
Each puncture repair booked is subject to the purchase of a replacement tyre. This is to ensure that if a repair is not possible a replacement tyre can be provided during the same visit. If a new tyre is required, the puncture repair charge will be waived since a new tyre will be fitted instead.

Are you sure Michelin say they can be repaired?

I have them on BMW and have found to my cost non repairable as repairer has no idea how far you have ran them in run flat condition and will not take responsibility for repair

I had a bolt through a tyre 800m from my local Kwik fit and they refused point blank to repair

In fairness if I had a tyre that had been running low pressure or even flat for an unknown time I'd be wary of repair

Other tyres manufacturers support the no repair stance hence why Run Flat insurance is common

Just fixed my X3 Pirelli Tyre which were near enough new with 7mm of tread and one puncture (caused by a screw) Tyres never lost more than 6 psi of pressure so I decided to look for someone to fix the tyre instead of forking out £200 for a new one

They carried out a vulcanised puncture repair. Chuffed with the work and for the fact I didn't have to go through to Glasgow.
