Hey folks

Got my eyes on a vehicle which I would like to buy, its less than road legal. Im wondering if anybody knows anywhere in Glasgow which does cheap trailer or car transporter (driver is 22 though) hire in Glasgow area. Its just a little 1100kg hatch and my tow vehicle is a big shogun with a high ball weight so even a wee single axle would do.

Cheers

I've used PG Trailer Hire before and they were good.

They are in Lanark though so might be a bit far away for you. There's very few in Glasgow though.

Where abouts is the car you're picking up?

Im picking up near silverburn and driving to dumbarton. Out of curiosity what daily rate did you pay? Ive emailed them and they have yet to get back to me. Also contacted Indespension trailers who want £65 for a days usage. At that rate its cheaper to just pay £45 for the daily insurance and 'Book an MOT' before driving home.

Pop on to one of the car related groups on Faecesbook, there's loads of guys shifting motors, I needed a Jag picked up asap and the trailer I use was away, cost £70 from Greenock to Killie.

Does the driver have a trailer licence? I can see your train weight being a smidge above 3.5t

I can't recall the exact rate but it was about £50.

For that short distance you're probably as well just getting a recovery to do it, that should be only be about £50.

I've just sold my towing dolly or i'd have happily taken it for you. When has it to be picked up and i can see if i can borrow a trailer and i'll move it for you if you want?

Oh I got it home on Sunday. Just coughed up for some temp insurance and drove it. Took the backroads & never got pulled. Thanks for the offer mate.
