On entering Peterculter from Elrick side spotted a silver Audi parked off road with a police officer in uniform but no high viz.
Speed camera in hand poking through bushes. Is that even legal?

Oddly enough a friend of mine got pulled over by them on his way home from work last week for thinking he had front tints in his Van. Which he didn't...

I then also got tailgated by them over the new 3rd Don Crossing (from St Machar to Grandholm) in my Nissan. Seemed as though they didn't know I knew it was police & were waiting for me to slip up.

Two big LED sections behind grill at slightly odd/uneven levels & both were wearing hi-viz.

Why on earth would you think that this is illegal? Police officers performing speed checks has never been illegal; that's why it's called a speed "trap".

There is a world of difference between "guidelines" and "legal".

Anyone remember the days of the unmarked Escort van parked at the side of the road, with the radar transceiver on the road in front of it, and the nice policeman stepping out into the road to stop you a couple of hundred yards up the road?
