Alloy wheel colour change

I have a new set of alloys that I am considering changing the colour of them before I fit them. They are 19" silver alloys and was considering changing them to a gunmetal colour

Since they don't need any repair I was wondering if I would be better getting them painted or powdercoate?

Any recommendations and ideas of cost for someone in Glasgow or Ayrshire that could do this at a reasonable cost?

Powdercoating is more durable I gather, I've had a few sets of wheels powdercoated and they've all come out well and lasted a long time, when kept clean. I can't really recommend anyone in your area though but I'm sure one of the members based near you will be along to help shortly.

I tried to use that on some radiator grilles, wasn't impressed. It gives a matt finish out of the can, they do sell a "glossifier" to use over it if you want a gloss finish but it didn't seem to do anything.

I've just had my wheels refurbed by The Wheel Specialist in Edinburgh.

I went from silver to a carbon/graphite colour and I am totally chuffed with the finish.

Cost me £360 after a 5% discount code.

I used Lepsons in Kent.
They did inclusive carriage costs which seemed surprisingly good value. They re finished my R32's Omanyts in graphite with diamond cut edges.
Painted as I understand and a very nice finish.
