Anyone living proper oooop North know of any couriers who can deliver a 33kg 90x70x30cm package from Leeds to Aberdeenshire for around £50?

Presumably there's a local man with van service in remote parts of Scotland.

It's ~800 mile round trip by road though!

Bit big to carry on the train.

Can't hand luggage it on the plane.

If anyone happens to be passing through Leeds on the way home, I've got a very nice orange English £50 note waiting.

Ta.

It's okay, Aberdeen's really not that remote despite what you hear... wink

I just stuck your details into Parcelforce's website

Your pricing results for a UK delivery weighing 33 kg are…

express48, Guaranteed 3 working days, Tracked, Up to £100, £40.23+ VAT, £48.28 inc. VAT

express24, Guaranteed 2 working days, Tracked, Up to £100, £43.98+ VAT, £52.78 inc. VAT
Probably easier/safer than a man with a van. And saves someone the hassle of trying to spend an English fifty pound note North of the Border laugh

Try Parcelhero.com

I got a cheap price through them for a 55kg package from Portsmouth to central Scotland which then turned out to be UPS.

Most courier companies advertise a 24hr nationwide service as they work through a network and swap loads about in centralised depots, they ussually price on weights and £50 would be about normal for that weight, dimensions arent ussually important unless it something unussually long compared with its relative weight.
