Chapelhall A8 debris

A8 was supposed to be single lane all weekend but works finished early.
Then all afternoon the west bound carriageway has been closed due to "debris on the carriageway".
Has anyone passed this today?
I am being nosey but it sounds to me like something has gone wrong with the old bridge demolition that is being covered up?
Or am I just cynical?

All seemed fine when I passed westbound about 3:30 yesterday afternoon. I notice the new road (new A8?) from Chapelhall towards Newhouse was in use Eastbound, complete with SPECS cameras. The surface around Shawhead was a bit of a mess, but other than potholes & a few rapid gradient transitions I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
